Anglers Show Support at Super Bowl
Anglers Show Support for Fishing at Super Bowl Festivities
The Recreational Boating & Fishing Foundation (RBFF) reeled in Pledges for its Anglers’ Legacy program during the 2008 Super Bowl festivities in Glendale, Ariz. Hosting a booth at the Forever Resorts Outdoor Recreation Village, RBFF State Outreach Manager Stephanie Hussey and best-selling author and professional angler Ronnie Kovach discussed the program with attendees and provided information about how to preserve the resource by introducing a newcomer to the sport of fishing. Additionally, Kovach demonstrated professional casting techniques and gave fishing tips.
The Discover Boating & Take Me Fishing Mobile Marketing Trailer was also on site, staffed by DiscoverBoating.com’s “Ask the Boating Guy” and other boating experts.
The Outdoor Recreation Village was open daily beginning Thursday, January 31, providing a one-of-a-kind experience for the year's biggest and most anticipated football game. Visitors experienced hands-on demonstrations including a rock climbing wall, trout fishing tank, tours of a 75-foot Extreme Forever Houseboat and practice simulators for boating, fishing and hunting. Admission was free to the public.
