Baltimore Boat Show
RBFF’s Take Me Fishing Center appeared at this year’s Baltimore Boat Show held January 23–27, 2008. Featuring four stations for Getting Started, Local Fishing, Anglers’ Legacy and Take Me Fishing, consumers could:
- Learn about basic equipment
- Buy their fishing license
- Learn how to cast
- Promise to share the sport with someone new through AnglersLegacy.org
- Challenge a friend at the boating and fishing simulators
- Attend educational fishing seminars held in front of a giant fish tank stocked with local species
- Surf the net for more than 12,000 places to boat and fish at TakeMeFishing.org
- Record video testimonials about their boating and fishing experiences
RBFF extends a special thanks to the Maryland Department of Natural Resources, Baltimore Department of Recreation and Parks, and Fish on Bass Anglers for volunteering their time. RBFF would also like to recognize the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) for hosting the exhibit; pro anglers Linda Berry, Denese Freeman and Steve Chaconas; and college anglers from the Penn State Bass Fishing Club for sharing their boating and fishing knowledge and expertise.
