About Buddy:
I currently live in Iowa, but I was born in Bemidgi, Minnesota, and while there is good fishing in Iowa, I desperately miss the thousands of "hotspots" and the amazing scenery found in northern Minnesota. I was young when we left there but I go back as often as I can. In a year I'm moving down to New Orleans and that will be a whole new fishing experience that I'm very much looking forward to.

Renton, Washington
Updated profile on: January 8th, 2009
About Buddy:
The C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation was formed in 1991 to join volunteers who love to fish with disabled and disadvantaged children for a day of fishing in the outdoors. The C.A.S.T. for Kids Event was designed to create an environment whereby children and adults could benefit, leaving their problems on shore and sharing a day of fun on the water that they may not otherwise get to experience.
C.A.S.T. for Kids furthers its mission by increasing awareness of disabled and disadvantaged children in communities and teaching appreciation for natural resources. This is all made possible through the cooperation of government agencies and local interest groups, and creates a rare and positive experience for our youth.
During each of the Foundation’s first four years, three events were held in the states of Washington and Idaho. Since then, the total number of annual events has grown to over 50 events across nearly half of United States. Each year more volunteers assist, more donors contribute and more children participate.
In 1996 due to continued requests and overwhelming interest, the Fishing Kids fishing series was developed to introduce and educate all urban youth to the sport of fishing. The Fishing Kids Program, built around the slogan, “Getting more kids fishing, more often,” is designed to create and provide more fishing opportunities for urban youth.
C.A.S.T. for Kids Foundation aims for presence across the nation allowing children everywhere and of any means an opportunity to learn how to fish. We have a partnered with several great organizations and individuals who help us make this possible.

About Buddy:
I have been fishing since I can remember. This year was my first time trying ice fishin. I actually really enjoyed it. In June my new husband and I are going to go to Hayward. WI for our honymoon. There is nothing like a week of just fishing! Three years ago we went on a family vacation there and we had the time of our life. My 11 year old lives for fishing as well.
