I am partial to the 6' Emerger for rivers, shallows, and lakes. It is light weight, easily transported and I got plenty of room to stow gear, lunch, and whatever else I need for my float.

My chest waders are my favorite floating device when fishing up river. Most of our rivers are highly accesable from shore. When I'm creeping along a riverbank and flicking a fly or lure under some low hanging bush, I prefer my 16ft Sea Nymph Bass Boat. Besides, when you're 63 your not quite as flexible in cold weather.LOL
