My favorite tackle is probably top water baits, but I catch more fish on crank baits.

I use whatever it takes to catch the bass where I am at the time, but my favorite tackle is Lucky Craft crankbaits, A Terminator buzzbait, a Snag Proof Tournament Frog and a Terminator T-1 spinnerbait. I use St Croix rods, G.Loomis rods, American Rodsmith and some Bass pro Shops rods. For reels I use almost all Shimano reels in both spinning and baitcasting.

Just earlier today I found a package of Jigs I bought at Meijers for $.88 a few years ago rigged my line with it and pulled out a 9 lbs Smallmouth. I went on to catch 9 more good sized fish on that little jig.

yellow headed jig with curly tail or 2/0 worm hook with gulp smelt or night crawler works here in Michigan.

One of the best lures Ive ever used is a DB Smelt. They're made by a small local company in NH and are sometimes a bit hard to find. If you plan on trolling for salmon or trout a DB Smelt is the way to go.
My old boss also makes and sells bait rigs (Paul's Sliding Bait Rigs). He makes a wide variety of different rigs for trolling and he sells them to a lot of stores in the lakes area. Ive only used them a couple times and found that they worked quite well. He says people have very good luck with them as well.

Spinners, deep cranks & jigs. My bigest catch was a 13lb. largemouth on a 12in. soft plastic worm in Branson MO. on tablerock lake.
