If you love trout, then you have to try Willow Beach AZ. also record size striper of 60 lbs. i was fishing last week and i saw someone catch a 40 and two 25 lbs stripers in the harbor. From Las Vegas NV, you want to go south on US-93 witch is also called NEVADA Hwy/Great Basin Hwy to Hoover Dam. Willow Beach is 17 miles past Hoover Dam, and with the bypass bridge over the dam complete it makes for a fast trip to the water. if you have never been to Willow Beach you need to check it out, if you don't have a boat you can rent one from the bait-shop or you have alot of spots to fish off the bank. You can go up river by boat 12 miles to see Hoover Dam (PHOTO-SITE),make sure you stop at mile-marker 60 and see Arizona Hotsprings.With the planting of trout every Friday from the fish Hatchery the LARGE striper are out for the taking. Willow Beach has alot to see and do, From the sighting of Bighorn Sheep to the catch of that prize fish. Willow Beach has a store,a fuel dock and opening in March of 2011 are the campgrounds. i also want to add so you don't make the same mistake i did, the river from Willow Beach Harbor to the dam is closed every Sunday and Monday to all boat motor traffic.
