Finch Lake Campground is located in Northeast Louisiana, in the Upper Ouachita Wildlife Management area. We have 25 RV sites and a lodge that rents by the weekend, week or month. Boat launch facilities, and Great fishing are availaible in the adjacent Finch Lake.

Finch Lake is a natural lake that was dammed up to control the water level. It is flooded annually by the Ouachita River which adds to the great fishing. It is located in the Upper Ouachita NWR in NE Louisiana. This a stumpy lake, best fished by small flat bottom aluminum boats or kayaks.

Hotspot Description:
Smithport Lake is also connected to Clear Lake and are virtually the same lake. Both lake suffer from a severe giant Salvania infestation which greatly increases the diffiulty of fishing on the lakes. Weevils are being used to help decrease the amount of giant salvania and aggresive spraying is also being used. There is a dam on the east part of the lake and there are only two launches into the lake. The lake has numerous large catfish and numerous weigh over 50 pounds. Bass are a challenge to catch but they are also very large and numerous.
