Hotspot Description:
Arizona Canal is Verde River and the Salt River combine at Granite Dam and run throughout Metro Phoenix. With a Flat fishable Banks it is a great fishing in an Urban enviorment. (Not an Urban Program) This is river water that a General Fishing liscense is needed for. Channel Catfish, Flathead, Trout, Bass, Crawfish and some turtles. White Amur is the only stocked Fish used for grass control they are not a Keepable fish catch and release only.

Hotspot Description:
Fishing the Arizona Canal Sytem. Use normal stream techniques i.e. bends, swirls, bridges. Hook 0/0 Bullet sinker over slipshot or float. Hotdogs or Liver work best. Be wary of White Amur (Asian Grass carp) Big (30-40 inches) but a mandatory release in this water. Trout and Bass spewcies as well as other catfish species. (not as common) So if you need a close Urban fishing but want to avoid a stocked park look only to the canal. Regular Fishing Liscense is needed for this water, it is not part of the Urban program.
