Hotspot Description:
The Goose Creek Reservior is a freshwater reservoir that is located in Goose Creek and Hanahan. Public access is the John R. Bettis boat landing off Railroad Avenue in Hanahan, SC (near North Charleston) and is located behind Trident Technical College. From Highway 52/Rivers Avenue, turn onto Maybeline Road. Veer to the right just after crossing railroad tracks (onto Railroad Avenue). Turn left just past the ball fields onto Bettis Boat Landing Road. Boat landing and small dock located at the end of the road, along with entrance to short nature trail.
Please note that the reservoir has a very healthy population of alligators! While good for fishing, I do not recommend entering the water and allowing children and pets into the water or on the banks!Community Rating:
