Den 5 earned the Passport Patch last Saturday! Prior to that these scouts went fishing with the Kansas Dept of Wildlife and Parks teaching and they supplied the poles and bait. Just an awesome experience to be part of what for some of these boys is the first time hooking a worm AND catching a fish. Plan to keep up the "Gone Fishing" outings in the coming scouting years!

I am new to the TakeMeFishing blog board. I am wondering if anyone fished in the Deep Creek Maryland Lake and if they had any good tips for me. It is a larger body of water then I am use to fishing. I fish river's and dam's and smaller lakes. I don't have any special fish that I have to catch, so just tell me where fish are and I will go get them. Any suggestions?
