Maria ask around as to what people catch fish in your area. It is a well known fact that people buy lures on looks allot when in fact they wont or are not very good for your area. There are so many new lures and crank baits coming out every day but they don't always work for your area. Some crank baits trail very good and some need tweaked to trail right. If you are using rubber gear like worms and so forth for bass then learn how to rig. Here in Idaho I fished in many many bass tournaments and I like Carolina rigging much better then Texas style. Only a matter of preference though. I believe that the less resistance a fish feels on the other end the better chance you have a catching him and with Carolina rigging you have the most feel if a fish picks it up. I also use Carolina rig fishing for many other fish such as perch, catfish, trout about anything. If you wish to know how to Carolina rig if unfamiliar send me a message and I will show you some pics of both rigs, Carolina and Texas. Just remember one thing Maria buy what works and don't buy on looks. Your desire to eat it is different then what fish like. lol

Maria, let me know if you got my last message about where I lived growing up. I treasure those memories. I remember them like they were yesterday!

Hi Maria, It's Sunday morning and cold in the Northheast. When I was a young boy in the mid fifties we use to come visit my mothers sister in virginia. She was married to her husband Frank and they lived in their Grandmothers house. We took the Ferry accross the Chesapeake Bay. I remember it took 3 hour to cross. I remember that there were seperate restrooms for (Colored folks) and white folks! Anyway I remember that they were poor and yhe Grandmother had a rule that Men and boys were not allowed to sleep there overnight! So dad took me and my brother and we slept under the stars on the beach. It was fun. We rented a 16 foot fishing boat and went crabbing. (in those days the crabbin was real good! The first day in about half a day we caught a bushel of Blueclaw crabs. We brought them back and cooke (actually boiled ) them in a huge pot. We had a big feast! Then we went the following day and caught another bushell full and did the same thing. Ah what memories. I will never forget them!
