Hey Dan, Long time no hear. Just got back from Alaska and posted some pics on my page. Give me a holler sometime soon. Take care and Tight Lines

Rivers have been high and cold with all the rain we've been getting Dan. I've done a little trout fishing in the reservoirs with quite a bit of success but no bragging fish. Bluegill and crappie fishing is picking up on local ponds. Hoping to fish for some steelhead and salmon once the rivers settle in. We dont have near as many large perch out here as you do but you are right, they are tasty. Good to hear from you. Tight Lines

Right on Dan, sounds like a setup that'll get you out fishing! Enjoy the new boat and have fun with the spring fishing. Tight Lines

Glad to hear all is well. What kind of boat did you get? Good hearing from you. Tight Lines

Hey Dan, Haven't heard from you for a while. Hope all is well. How's the fishing been? Tight Lines

Howdy Dan, Good to hear from you. How is the new job going? Haven't fished much since the FAW derby but hope to get out soon. Good luck on the pike opener. Hopefully one of us will post some photos of some nice new fish soon. Tight Lines

Hey Dan, Glad to hear about the new job. That has to be a big relief. I haven't been on the water for a couple of weeks. Will be fishing a couple of sturgeon derbies later this month, am looking forward to that. Tight Lines

Safety first friend. No fish is worth dieing for. Sorry to hear about the job situation. My company has only four employees now and each of us takes off one week a month. I do have a job 75% of the time though and am grateful that I'm not in your position. Good luck in the job market. Hope you get an opportunity to fish soon. Tight Lines

Hi Dan, I saw you were logged on. Was hoping to see some new pictures or read a good fishing story. I'm going to drift a stretch of the S. Siuslaw in Saturday and see if we cant find some winter steelhead. Hopefully I'll have a success story if the weather and river levels hold. Tight Lines!

Hey Dan, It's been too long since I hit the water. Do you have any good fishing stories? Have a Merry Christmas friend!

Umpqua was slow yesterday. Two small native Coho for 9 hours of effort. Still beat the heck out of working though! Tight Lines, Jim

I've got a couple of pictures from the Umpqua on my page now. I'm heading down there again on the tenth with Mallard Boy and LJ. Keep up with the nice kings! Tight Lines, Jim

Howdy Dan! Wednesday we caught one small chinook and a couple native cohos that we released. Thursday we caught three Chinook and two or three Coho (again, all native). Friday we couldn't find the Chinook to save our souls but we ran down to the dunes and caught 8 or 9 Coho. One of the Coho was a beautiful 15-16# buck. All the Coho we caught had their adipose fins intact so they went swimming instead of into the fish box. It was still a fun three days. I'll post some pictures on my page as soon as I can find a teenager to help me download the darn camera. Tight Lines!

How did salmon festival go? Sounds like a great event. Hope you did well. I'm heading for the Umpqua river in the morning, hoping to score a few chinook. Tight Lines, Jim

Hey Dan, Tell me about Salmon Festival. Is it a derby or contest of sorts or just a fun event? Whichever, enjoy the fishing! Tight lines and heavy stringers, Jim
