About You:	I am a competitive Kayak Angler and most days I can be found fun-fishing for Largemouth Bass on the California Delta, Clear Lake, or any of the lakes in the Santa Clara Valley. I'm also a member of Bass-n-Tubes, a club hosting monthly kickboat and kayak bass tournaments from early spring to late fall. With a Top 3 finish and several Top 5's, I am well on my way to the top of the Kayak Bass Fishing world.
Favorite Activities:	Kayak Fishing, taking friends and family out on the water, and putting newbies on fish. There's a special thrill that comes from helping someone pick up a rod for the first time, tangle up the line learning how to cast, and then dance with their first fish. And all in a matter of hours and with artificial lures!
Favorite Species of Fish:	Largemouth Bass! I also enjoy fighting big Stripers and feisty trout.
Favorite Tackle:	I generally favor casting rigs, occasionally use a spinning rod for really light presentations, and have a special place in my heart for fly fishing. For Largemouth Bass I dig catching them on frogs, crankbaits, and jigs. And I ALWAYS have a Senko tied on. Those things just WORK!

My Anglers’ Legacy

Who got me involved in fishing:
For me it started when my father would take us with him on spearfishing trips to Monterey, Ca. Huge rainbow perch and blue lingcod were the common catch. Whenever we could, my brothers and I would fish for whatever off the pier and breakwater (usually caught little sanddabs).
I really got into rod fishing a lot in 2006 when I decided to learn fly fishing. Then I returned to tackle and caught my first bass, and that fish set the hook on ME!

Favorite Fishing Story:
I got a group of friends out on a rental patio boat at Lake Del Valle last year, most of them had never done any fishing before. We managed to get a couple trout and cook'em up for lunch, though, I had to use the marine battery and some foil to start the stove because nobody brought a lighter or matches.
Those guys started out tangled up and flinging lures backwards, but by the end of the day were boasting long cast titles and printing out pictures of their first fish!
I didn't catch even one fish all day and I had more fun doing that than hunting down a limit for money!
