  About You:	I am a 20 yr. career carpenter trying to start the rod building business I have invested much learning, materials, equipment design and purchase in. My website is actrods.com and has a slide show and contact info. I love to fish, and do not get to go nearly as often as I would like. Bottom live bait drop-shot catfishing is my preference, but I also bass, crappie, brim and ocean angle as well.
  Favorite Activities:	My favorite activities I guess are Church activities, fishing rod building, family time
  Favorite Species of Fish:	I guess if I narrowed it down, blacktip shark for sport and crappie for dining purposes.
  Favorite Tackle:	Have mastered baitcasters in the last 3 years and love them now. Used to be afraid of them, but couldn't deny there had to be a reason that all the pros preferred them. I see that then accuracy, smoothness, compact size in relation to power, and outright winching pull force are definite advantages as long as you are no throwing tackle less than 1/2 ounce. I own a Diawa Saltist 40 (4.2/1), a Browning Midas wide spool 20(6.2/1), a Garcia Revo STX(6.2), and a couple of cheaper graphite round frame jobs as well.
