Location: FL, Profile Manager: ajbrooks81 Created: January 30th, 2009 Description: Horsebeach was est. around 1860. It has a population of about 170 and has since it was est. It is located in the big bend of Florida on the Gulf coast. 15 miles se of stienahatchee and 15 miles nw of the mouth of the suwannee river. Horseshoe beach has a marina and a restruant. It also has a nice boat launch aswell. There are probably about 20 to30 different cabins and houses you can rent year round. Fresh bait and oysters are common. The water is very muddy within three miles of the marina but after that it clears up crystal clear with lots of eel grass and sandy bottom. Trout, speckeled and sand sheepshead amberjack and sharks a very common.
