Who got me involved in fishing:
My Grandfather, we spent countless hours of great time together sitting on 5 gallon pails on the banks of minnesota lakes.
Favorite Fishing Story:
My son and i were fishing a local cranberry marsh for largemouth. We got to the marsh early in the morning, the fog was rolling across the top of the water yet and everything was still as glass. We began by trolling along a bank casting spinnerbaits along the edge of weedbeds. After a bout 5 casts my son caught his spinner on a small stump. He jerked it loose and began retreiving his lure fast across the top of the water so he could re-cast, about 4 ft from the boat a huge splash and the drag from my sons pole went into hyper-drive. He fought the fish for what seemed like forever before i caught a glimpse of it rolling in the water, it was a nice Pike. After we got it in the boat i realized how big it was, measured out at 35 3/4 in and 15 1/2 lbs. My son gently let him go to swim another day. The smile and excitement that resulted was a great moment. I was very proud of him/
