Part of my family would like to visit North Carolina and part of my family wants to bass fish. Is there anywhere in or near NC where we could stay on the water, is boat accessable, and we can catch nice freshwater fish?

I'm putting my first fish on the wall after my trip to Dothan, Alabama this weekend. I've passed up on mounting a lot of 8-10 pounders. Thank god I waited for this beast. 13 1/4 pounds. Watermelon/red fluke
