Favorite Fishing Story:
There are three kids fishing near a lake, they ask me...can you help us catch some fish. I replied, yes and proceeded to ask where do you fish? The oldest replied, in my grandma's back yard. So, tell me a little more about how you fish? He said, we stand on the bank and cast in the middle with rubber worms. I replied, okay tell what you catch? The boy replied nothing, we cast it hits the water, sinks to the bottom.
Yes, go on! Then we usually feel, bum, bum. So we reel down, lift up, reel down and lift up, but nothing is ever there. He asked, do you think that's a fish? Oh yes, I replied...He said can you help us catch them? Yes, I replied.
I leaned over to get all of the boys attention and said, there's one thing you need to learn about fishing, it will help you catch more fish and much bigger fish!
Eager to hear what I was going to say they stepped closer, so I stepped backward and stuck my hands in my pockets and started to shake my hands until I had all of there attention.
I then said, boys do you know what these are? With blank stairs over there faces and shaking there heads back and forth all said, no sir. I said, boys these are pockets and to catch more fish you just need to know that fish don't have pockets.
Explaining, when you feel something on the other end of your line like a bum, bum, you need to set the hook.
I asked, do you no why? Remember fish don't have pockets. So the bum, bum must mean the bait in there mouth, because they don’t have pockets!
