The Lake is dam controlled and is part of the Ohio River Flood control system, therefore the lake can be flooded as much as 50' above normal lake levels. Flooding usually occurs in the spring, the lake is normally back to normal levelsby the 4th of July. There are multiple public launch site around the lake with the better ones being in Lieber State Park and at Canot. You can expect to catch Bluegill, Crappie, Stripe Bass and Large Mouth Bass most any place on the lake, you will have to hunt for the Walleye, Channel Cats and Flat Heads. At normal lake levels you can expect to fish in 3' to 40' of water. Community Rating: Community Rating:

I would like to know where those " 40' " deep spots are on the lake. We always seem to end up in shallow spots and would love to find the great holes for the cats!
