  About You:	I started fishing with my grandmother, in a 12 ft jonboat on a lake in NY. My father and grandfather started taking me to the Biloxi river when I was about 6 years old. I knew then, it would be a big part of my life. I really didn't have the opportunity to dive into it hard until I was much older and able to make my own choices. I chose to migrate back to the water after graduating high school and wound up back to the Gulf coast at the age of 19. I came back to the south with one thing in mind,,,to fish. I found a spot on a commercial tuna and swordfish boat in Destin and the fever was reborn. I fished the big water and every day was like a new beginning for me. Soon I found myself in another change and I had to make a choice I didn't want to make. I had to change my career again and it did not include a life on the water. At the age of 49, I found myself in a position to find my passion again and went to school, get my captains license, and I landed on the docks of Destin Fla. I now command a 52 ft fishing charter boat called the "Gulf Winds". Again, I wake up every morning looking to the open water, hearing the waves slap the boat and watching to see what may give me a glimpse of what most people will not ever see in their whole life. I am truly a blessed man. To be able to take others to a world they might not be able to experience on their own, is just as big a passion as fishing for myself. The laughter and pride they show is something I want to do until the day I leave this great world of ours. The most important part of what I do,,is to pass it on. Please take a kid fishing and perpetuate the passion. This is the most important thing we can do, as conservationist's. Pass it on.
