My Anglers’ Legacy

Cary Hinson is proud to be a part of the Anglers’ Legacy.

Who got me involved in fishing:
I started fishing when I was a young boy. My father got me my very first fishing pole and reel. Back then the Zebco 303 was the best. A very good friend and I fished all the time.

Favorite Fishing Story:
It would have to be when I took my son fishing for the first time. He was 8 years old.
He hooked a fish and it fought pretty hard. He was reeling it in and got it close to the dock the fish then jumped and took off with line,pole, reel and my son.
It pulled him into the water and I couldn't believe that this had happened.
Well he never let go of the pole and after a little help from me he reeled in a 12.5 pound
catfish. We laughed and laughed and wished we had a video camera.
This was his very first catfish.

Best Fishing Joke:
Give a man a fish and feed him for a day.
Teach a man to fish and he will keep bait in the fridge.
