Chattahoochee River
-
Location: GA, Profile Manager: Eric Vega Created: June 4th, 2009 Description: Running river, water as it exits the Buford Dam is cold enough to support various species of trout. Georgia DNR stocks Rainbow Trout. Additionally, they used to stock brown trout but have not for the last several years to investigate whether the Hooch below Buford Dam is a sustainable fishery. Excellent river access, and a great place to try your hand a fly fishing, or to take the little ones with spinning gear and worms for a day of fishing.
