Who got me involved in fishing:
My dad got me involved in fishing at a young age. I grew up in Texas and Louisiana. We would go to my Grandfathers house, who lived about a block from the lake, and the first thing I wanted to do was get a pole and go fishing, and I would sit for hours with a cup of worms and a cane pole catching perch. I've had the opportunity to experience many types of fishing but one of my most memorable trips was taking my then girlfriends son fishing for the first time. We only went to a catfish pond, but he was so excited he caught more fish than I did, and he had a cast on. Now he and I will get to fish even more together since his mom is now my wife. Not only have I had the opportunity to pass on the fishing experience to my son, but have had the opportunity to pass the experience to at least 15 other boys through boy scouts as I am a merit badge counselor for the fishing merit badge.
Favorite Fishing Story:
My favorite fishing story. Well there are just to many of them to chose one. anytime out on the water creates another favorite fishing story. And when telling them, they all bring back memories, weather it be with my dad (may he rest in peice) or my best friend (who now lives in Montana), with my son, the scouts, and even with my ex-father-in-law. They are all wonderful memories.
