Recent events in the Gulf Coast have highlighted the importance of protecting our waterways. By participating in simple activities like boating and angling, you can make a difference! “Conservation through Participation” helps protect our waterways! When an angler buys fishing tackle or a boater buys boat fuel, a portion of those proceeds is funneled to states by the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service through the Sport Fish Restoration Program. This year alone, nearly $400 million will be distributed to states through the program.
