Who got me involved in fishing:
When I was 15, I went on a scout trip up to Boundry Waters Canoeing Expeditions on the border of Minnesota and Canada. I think that's where I caught my first fish, which was a big old 5 lb. bass.
Another fond memory is sitting near an old bridge near some unnamed river in Kerrville, TX. That's where I caught my first Crappie on a light spincast rig.
Best Fishing Joke:
You know, every since I was a kid I loved fishing for gar, fresh water and salt. Perhaps you didn't know there were gar in the ocean! Yes there is! I would bring home those long old nasty looking fish, with a mouth just like a gator and throw 'em in the pot or on the smoker in the back yard. A lot of smoke with some mosquite or hickory wood would do 'em just right. The fresh water gar I'd boil up or pan fry only cuz you can't smoke the fresh water gar, but you can smoke a sea-gar! They're goood!
Good tackle box advice!
