What horror stories have you herd? The Kish is a very wadeable river. If you want to try it I'd water until summer when the water has warmed and do some wet wading (no waders). That's what I do. I do have waders
for the cold water season but in the summer I wet wade. A good place to start out would be Blackhawk Spings F.P. off of perryville Rd.
Wade up-stream to where the two branches
(north & south) meet and fish the rock wall, you'll see it if you go. If you ever want just get a hold of me if you want to tag along your first couple of times.
Springs coming! Make sure you got your stuff ready.

Have you ever waded the Kish? That's the best way to go. All I do is wade. You can kill
the cats on a wade. Get off the shore and go
get 'em. I'm sure you'll like it.
