well one of my fondest memories fishing wise is with my daughter and barb out at opekiska.

well it was late in the year and i wasn't done fishin' yet and had the day off and so did barb and kaylee. So we decided to go fishin' out at Opekiska back waters and see what we could get into. well after a few hours of blanking for catfish I noticed the girls were gettin' bored so i went into my truck and grabbed some night crawlers out of the cooler and my two lite action rods. Well I quickly re-spooled up the reels and added slip floats and number 8 hooks. so i told them both who ever catches the least amount of fish ( gills/Sunfish ) bought dinner of choice for the other two. Well after a few minutes I had 6 Kaylee had 0 and barb had one , I quickly realized that Ole dad needed to be dad and Do somthin Different ( if yall know what i mean ) so I quickly moved down the bank and watched them slide over to where I was rippin the gills ( think more like I found a nesting bed ) well after kaylee got into the water she landed one of the biggest gills I have ever seen. to keep a long story short let just say I bought dinner and Saw them Smile and it made me feel great! needless to say Some of yall have seen the pic of kaylee holdin the gill and the huge smile on her face. that right there was one of the best days i have ever had....
