Favorite Activities:	Spending time with my family when possible, hot air ballooning, and of course FISHING.
Favorite Species of Fish:	Largemouth Bass, Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Striper, and Pan Fish.
Favorite Tackle:	Spinners with a black grub, rubber worms, and Chug Bugs.

My Anglers’ Legacy

Ken Mealey is proud to be a part of the Anglers’ Legacy.

Who got me involved in fishing:
My first true fishing was done with an uncle back when I was in grade school, but my brother Jack bought me my first fishing pole and reel and taught me to Bass fish.

Favorite Fishing Story:
We were catfishing in Stone Coal Lake late one night and it was pretty cold. I finally hooked a real fighter which took me about ten minutes to get him to the shore. When I hoisted him out of the water, he came off the hook, hit the bank, and went back into the water. My father-in-law jumped in the water on top of the Cat and came out with a 18 inch Channel Cat. Needless to say we had to build a fire to dry him out and warm him up.
