My Anglers’ Legacy
-
Maria is proud to be a part of the Anglers’ Legacy.
Who got me involved in fishing:
My mom used to take me fishing when I was a kid in the Swatara CreekFavorite Fishing Story:
I was fishing all day at a local pond and was stringing each fish as I caught them and setting them back in the water so they'd stay alive and fresh until I was ready to leave. At the end of the day when I went to gather up my catch, I discovered that each fish had been half eaten by snapper turtles!

Maria ask around as to what people catch fish in your area. It is a well known fact that people buy lures on looks allot when in fact they wont or are not very good for your area. There are so many new lures and crank baits coming out every day but they don't always work for your area. Some crank baits trail very good and some need tweaked to trail right. If you are using rubber gear like worms and so forth for bass then learn how to rig. Here in Idaho I fished in many many bass tournaments and I like Carolina rigging much better then Texas style. Only a matter of preference though. I believe that the less resistance a fish feels on the other end the better chance you have a catching him and with Carolina rigging you have the most feel if a fish picks it up. I also use Carolina rig fishing for many other fish such as perch, catfish, trout about anything. If you wish to know how to Carolina rig if unfamiliar send me a message and I will show you some pics of both rigs, Carolina and Texas. Just remember one thing Maria buy what works and don't buy on looks. Your desire to eat it is different then what fish like. lol
