My Anglers’ Legacy

Who got me involved in fishing:
I grew up fishing with my Dad as a young girl in Southern California. I am the oldest of three girls and likely the only one of the three that enjoyed fishing. I grew up mainly fishing in the oceans of California but had a few experiences with lakes. I am now grown-up and married with 4 kids of my own and I live on the East coast, Florida to be exact. My husband grew up fishing with his father in lakes, the ocean, and any other body of water where a fish could be caught. We now enjoy doing this together.

Favorite Fishing Story:
As a kid we had been fishing on the Newport Beach Pier in Southern California and witnessed a huge crowd gathering at the end of the pier. Dad and I walked down to check out what was happening and it turned out that there was some little asian man who was catching some monster fish. When asked what he was using for bait he simply replied " frozen peas". No crap, the dude was seriously fishing with a bag of frozen peas in his bait box. Haven't tried it myself but I am always making jokes about the little asian man who used peas to fish. Does smell better than squid! LoL

Fisher Girl? Where ya been? Haven't signed on in like 5 days... WTF!!! Had a good time fishin' this weekend. Wish we had more luck. We need to locate a new spot (means we gonna trespass) or get out on the water in the boat.
