Casa Blanca has some nice fish if you know were to go, but I wouldn't pass up a chance at Falcon to go to Casa Blanca.
I've pulled out some monster fish out of Falcon lake and I wish i could go more often, but with work and the distance its a little difficult sometimes.

Most of the fish I caught this week were on swim jigs or cranks, but the 3 biggest were all caught on 10" Berkley Motor Oil/Red Flake power worms.
The 3 were caught in 2-4ft of water and I was just pitching the worm into large vegetation (weightless).
That methods always worked for me, but I always use it at a last resort 'cause its not as fun as cranks or other lures and 'cause its a pain in the *** to work your way out of the brush if you hook something.

The dam... that makes a lot of sense. I found a pretty good spot today though, its a small creek that feeds into the Rio Grande. It looks like a good spot for catfishing so Im going to try and hit it up on Sunday.
