A 2300 acre park, 1252 acres under water, was created in 1954 by the Muncie Water Works but is currently owned by Indiana American Water Company and leased by the City of Muncie for a park.It has a campground, boat launch, beach, and piers for rent. A lodge that can hold 50 plus people for rent as well as several shelters. Horse Trail and atv trail are located on the west side. Office is located on the east side of Reservoir where permits can be purchased for boat launch, bank fishing, camping, and trail use. Near the west side of the park is located The Cardinal Trailway, a short distance away, as well as the Red Tail Conservancy Nature Area. Juvenile Bald Eagles have been seen and photographed in the west timber. Indiana Department of Natural Resources has been stocking the reservoir for more than 8 yrs with Walleye.
