A 2300 acre park, 1252 acres under water, was created in 1954 by the Muncie Water Works but is currently owned by Indiana American Water Company and leased by the City of Muncie for a park.It has a campground, boat launch, beach, and piers for rent. A lodge that can hold 50 plus people for rent as well as several shelters. Horse Trail and atv trail are located on the west side. Office is located on the east side of Reservoir where permits can be purchased for boat launch, bank fishing, camping, and trail use. Near the west side of the park is located The Cardinal Trailway, a short distance away, as well as the Red Tail Conservancy Nature Area. Juvenile Bald Eagles have been seen and photographed in the west timber. Indiana Department of Natural Resources has been stocking the reservoir for more than 8 yrs with Walleye. The walleye are definetaly biting and here is a tease...a 30 inch plus walleye was caught near the campground that came in over 8 lbs. Several crappie coming in 11"-14" as well.

Crappie are in the bays preparing for spawning...goood time to get a few.

Between April 13 and April 24 Indiana Department of Natural Resources will be conducting a fish survey. They will be using nts so please be aware and stay clear of their study. It is crucial for future stockings.

Last few days the guys are catching walleye and crappie near the dam.

water is way down...working on drainage pipe on west side by atv trail...will be down for a while longer.
