On the way to the lake, I picked up some catfish stink bait. Upon our arrival at the lake, we saw it was stink bait dip so we had to find a medium to stick it to. First I tried some small, woven pretzels I had brought to munch on. I smeared the pretzel with the stink bait and maneuvered the hook onto it. Within 5 minutes I caught a 19" channel cat. Cast out again with the same rig and this time caught a 17" cat. I was worried about the pretzel falling off the hook so I experimented with coating a cigarette butt with the stink bait. This time I caught a 20" catfish. Tried it one more time and ended up with a 12" goldfish! I let the goldfish go.
Never thought I would try or catch a fish using pretzels or cigarette butts!
