Who got me involved in fishing:
That would be my parents. I started fishing at the age of 5, at least that's my earliest recollection. When I was growing up every adult male figure in my life took me fishing , and back then (out in the middle of nowhere which is how I like it) we could run around without our parents worrying about us, so I found the fishing holes on my own as well. One of the great benefits of growing up in the country!
Favorite Fishing Story:
My favorite fishing story would be one when I was roughly 8 or 9 years old fishing the banks of the Green River in Spottsville, KY. I was fishing catfish as I did on a regular basis back then around the dam and I snagged what felt like Moby Dick to a young kid. It took me at least an hour to get this monster in and I had no one but my best friend at the time to help me, he also was the same age. We both probably weighed no more then 60lbs each. Long story short, after I got this fish in it was a 30lb channel cat. I could barely hold it up after the struggle.
