The smallmouth are hitting good around here right now!
The water temp. was only 56 on Sunday when I went out which is colder than normal for this time of year... I'm pretty sure they are all bedded up, but, I don't think they have released eggs yet.
I fish for smallies primarily here in Idaho on the Snake River.
