Gender: Male Age: 68 Your Location: Grandview, Washington: Grandview is in the south central portion of the state, about 35 miles from the Columbia River. About You: Retired Teacher, amatuer astronomer, avid photographer and golfer. Have a 15' Starcraft Aluminum fishing boat that I just overhauled ( new floor, new carpet, tune-up, anchor winch, bimini top, etc ). Love it, it's so much lighter and easier to handle than old boat I had. I've been married for 32 years Favorite Activities: Fishing and golf. Favorite Species of Fish: I like to fish for anything that's biting! Right now I'm trying to learn to catch walleye in the Columbia River. All the experts say the next world record will come out of this river system. I also like to sturgeon fish, smallmouth bass, shad (when they're migrating upstream ), steelhead and salmon are so exciting.
Favorite Tackle: I'm a spinning outfit freak, I usually carry 4-5 different poles. I've got a 5' ultralight in the boat, and get heavier from there. I troll with several different Rapala lures, use some jigs, and even rely on a worm and worm harness now and then. Number of Anglers Invited: 0

Hey Rod, I'm going to be fishing the John Day river near it's confluence with the Columbia in mid december. I don't think that is too far from where you are is it? You should grab a buddy and your boat and join us. There are some big steelhead caught there on trolled wiggle worts. Something to consider. Tight Lines, Jim
