Take Me Fishing.com was a great start and I hope to open the door for newbies to fishing to network with one and other and those more experienced! Everyone is welcome to join irregardless of experience level and/or location!

I wish I had some advice for ya... I don't have a boat and can only do pier fishing so with the boat traffic going in and out of the res, it's hard to get a bite. I can give you a warning about the gators, though... there are quite a few alligators in the res and every time I've been to the GCR one is always hanging around, even getting about 10 feet away. You leave them alone, they'll leave you alone but do not allow your son to get in the water - just to be on the safe side! Good luck! :)
Note: I have caught a couple of pinfish in my cast net at Wappoo Cut and also at Remley's in Mt. Pleasant. Also at Wappoo Cut I got an oyster toadfish - tossed all of them back but it was fun for my 3 yr old son to know that we had caught some fish! :)
