Both lake suffer from a severe giant Salvania infestation which greatly increases the diffiulty of fishing on the lakes. Weevils are being used to help decrease the amount of giant salvania and aggresive spraying is also being used. There is a dam on the east part of the lake and there are only two launches into the lake. The lake has numerous large catfish and numerous weigh over 50 pounds. A clerk at a convience store near the lake recently showed me a picture of a 45 pound catfish caught on the lake.
