well this is my first year fishing for trout. i am from upset new york so i am used to big pike, muskie, walleye, and have seen big rock, small, and largemouth bass. never really went for trout but have seen the salmon run up the oswego river. never had the ambition for a little 7 inch trout. so i went trout fishing for the first time this year granted it was in a stocked pond but man was it fun. all i kept hearing was bass anglers make crappie (pun intended) trout anglers. but would u believe while guys around me are using powerbait and mealies all around me i was using a 1/4 oz phoebe spoon that has caught me big bass on lake ontario and caught 8 trout over a 3 day period. so i hate to say it but i am hooked.
