Taking B.S.A. troop 217 in MO. fishing 5/16. Any words of wisdom to guy guy with a 4 year old daughter taking out a bunch of 12 - 14 yr old boys in row boats. Nimms lake in Knob Lick MO., its a boy scout camp stocked with largemouth & crappe. Not a lot of fishing pressure + catch & release.

I used to fish from the shore for years until I got my first boat. There are times when it can be exciting and even rewarding. Many times if you are good, you can sneak up on big fish that other anglers can't get to. Right now I have something on my site you may be interested in as well. It is for anglers who dont have a boat but want to fish tournaments in their own area on their own time and win cash. Some times, I would like to fish from a boat but when you do that, you don't meet the interesting people that are on the shore. Where I fish, there is a public pier and close by to it there is an Alanon group meeting place. Being a recovering alcoholic myself, it's fun to swap stories with them.
