Favorite Fishing Story:
Standing in the middle of a stream in Jackson Hole, Wy. with a Japanese man that couldn't speak any English, with a translation book and showing him what he was fishing for that was Japanese and American language. Then to see him get his first Trout on a fly and he bowed to me the whole evening. In thanks!
Another is, Helping a young kid get his first fish on a fly. Taking pictures of him and his fish and that huge smile on his face.
Another, fishing with John Denver every year that he came to Lake Tahoe at Pyrarmid Lake n. of Reno fishing off of ladders.
Another, fishing Fish Creek and fishing and then to have an Osprey take a fish out of the water about 15' in front of me, that I had moved with my fly!
Another, having Moose come in the water with me while fishing. Mother and young one. Got pictures of that.
Another, Beaver come up to me and eat the bark off of a limb about 2' from me while fishing Beaver pond in Lake Tahoe.
Many more, but not enough room on here to tell them.
Best Fishing Joke:
John Denver stated, It's called fishing, not catching! Not a joke but reality.
New game warden in town and wanted to know the best place to fish! He was told to see this old guy. That he always caught his limit.
So the warden met with him and asked if he could go out with him. The old man say sure.
The next day they went out in the old mans boat. They set anchor and the warden baited his hook and threw it out!
The old man, reached in his tackle box and got a stick of Dynamite out and lit it threw it out and the game warden couldn't believe his eyes.
He stated to the old man, that's illegal! The old man reached in the box again, tok out another stick and lit it. Threw it to the warden and said, are you going to fish or talk?
