Had a chance to fish at the winfield locs today from 4:30 to 7:00 PM. Lost a bass,probably a white bass when I let up reeling it in. I know better too. Had 2 more bites with the same lure. A Berkley powerbait realistix 3" pogy shad. I did not set the hook as well as needed.
Had no luck at all with a Rapala xtreme action slashbait,7/16 oz,green top,white bottom. Also tried,without success a rapala flat trap,silver,1/4oz and a calcutta flashfoil pin fish.
The water was a little high and swift but clear. I did see about 15 others fishing and saw a few fish landed. Better luck next time!
I have fished the locs for years and it is always full of fishermans trash. I just walked passed it and said "look at that,thats awful", but did nothing about it. I will no longer do that. I will now take a store bag or 2 and fill them up,take them away.

A man at a local bait and tackle shop told me he knew of a person who use's live baby ducks for muskie bait. I think that is a very,very wrong thing to do and find it kind of disgusting. Anyone have a opinion on this I would like to hear it.
