    • American Boat Operators Course

      Online course officially approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and recognized by the United States Coast Guard.

    • Assistance Towing Endorsement

      Course subjects include rules of the road and towing equipment and methods.

    • Auxiliary Sailing Endorsement

      Course subjects include rules of the road and parts of the sailing vessel and sail.

    • Basic Keelboat Sailing

      ASA Basic Keelboat certification has been approved by the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators (NASBLA) and may satisfy your state's sailing education requirements. This certification is recognied by the U.S. Coast Guard.

    • Captain / OUPV Master up to 100 GT

      Course subjects include rules of the road, deck general, navigation general, and piloting and navigation.

    • Deck License Renewal

      Course subjects include rules of the road, coastal piloting navigation, life saving and general safety, firefighting, trim, stability and emergency procedures.

    • FCC License Examination-Marine Radio Operator Permit

      Course subjects include distress traffic, urgent signals, priority communications, bridge-to-bridge requirement, vessel rescue system, VHF distress frequencies, radio logs, and more.

    • Radar Observer - Unlimited

      Course subjects include fundamentals of radar, operation and use of radar, interpretation and analysis of radar information, and plotting.

    • Radar Refresher

      Course subjects include interpretation and analysis of radar information and plotting review.

    • Shipboard CPR & First Aid

      Course subjects include emergency medical aid at sea and CPR.

    • STCW - 95 Basic Safety Training

      Course subjects include personal survival, personal safety and social responsibilities, fire fighting, and CPR/First Aid.

    • Summer Program

      Students can attend class from June through August.

    • Upgrade 100 to 200 GT Master

      Course subjects include rules of the road, deck safety, deck general, navigation general, cargo handling and stability, tide tables and currents, terrestrial piloting and chart navigation.

    • Upgrade 200 Gt Up To 1600 GT Master

      Course subjects include rules of the road, deck safety, deck general, navigation general, cargo handling and stability, tide tables and currents, terrestrial piloting and chart navigation.

    • USCG Auxiliary In-Person Classes

      All courses are taught by U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary instructors who are qualified in the subject.       This traveling rod-building seminar includes a banquet and a souvenir program.

      Educational Recreational Adventures teaches environmental education, science, and outdoor skills (fly fishing, canoeing, kayaking, cross-country skiing, backpacking, aquatic education,wildlife studies,...) to people of all ages.

      A curriculum and equipment package designed to teach fly-fishing in Physical Education. We assist teachers in the completion of Federal Fishing Grant Applications and can equip your whole program.

      This free in-school program by The Bass Federation provides an educational look at today’s world of fishing. See how items like math, science and language arts are used by professional anglers’ everyday! Talk to a teacher, advisor or principle and have them apply for this TBF program for your school.

    • Trout Unlimited Flyfishing School

      The longest-running, most comprehensive, fly fishing school in the United States. Run by all-volunteer staff of certified and master instructors, the Michigan Council of Trout Unlimited Fly-fishing School takes place over 3 days near Traverse City, Michigan, and includes casting, landing fish, knots, bugs, fly-tying, reading the water, etiquette and more. All levels covered (beginner, intermediate, advanced). Age 12 and up.
