Vanguard Prams are small sailboats used for our younger sailors, typically age 8-13 years, although size and maturity level are also deciding factors during placement.
The Pram II class is reserved for Pram I sailors who show rapid progress and for sailors who have participated in the Pram program for several sessions.
The Beginner and Intermediate 420 class provides an entry level class for older and / or physically mature students interested in learning the basics of sailing.
The Illinois Boating Education Course consists of a minimum eight hours of instruction. These courses cover the basics of boating safety, equipment and requirements, navigation, motorboat, registration and titling, emergency measures and the Illinois boating laws.
Crew U. seeks to teach novices or those with limited experience, how to be helpful crewmembers on offshore racing sailboats.
In this course, we introduce 5 to 7 year olds to dinghy sailing.
