Recognizing the value of fishing and boating to the state, Oklahoma produced a comprehensive boating and fishing guide as well as took measures to recover depleted aquatic vegetation at a popular reservoir. State and federal partnerships have been the key in moving these important initiatives forward.

Oklahoma Water Atlas
With 146 detailed maps containing comprehensive recreational information like boat ramps, water depths, road maps and other important features, the Oklahoma Water Atlas was immediately embraced by local boaters and anglers. About 15,000 were printed and provided free.

Fort Cobb Reservoir
A popular recreational lake used for fishing, swimming and boating, Fort Cobb Reservoir is also the water supply for local communities. Extensive projects to recover and replace degraded aquatic and riparian vegetation are underway to improve water quality, habitat and fishing in the reservoir.
