The 2012 Southern Collegiate Bass Fishing Series hosted by Auburn University will hold its second event of the Series on February 17th & February 18th at Dittos Landing on the Tennessee River near Huntsville. Weigh-ins will be held at 3 p.m. Friday, February 17th, and at 2 p.m. Saturday, February 18th. The series has gained national recognition and contributed to the explosive growth of collegiate bass fishing. More than 150 anglers representing 30 universities across the southeastern United States are expected to compete in this event, which will determine the universities that will be represented at the 2012 Southern Collegiate Bass Fishing Championship. Schools such as Auburn, Alabama, North Alabama, Mississippi State, Tennessee and Georgia are planning to compete. The third event of the Series continues on March 16th & 17th in Decatur, Alabama. The Championship is scheduled on Lake Guntersville, Guntersville May 11th & 12th. Weigh-ins will be held on Fridays at 3 p.m. and on Saturdays at 2 p.m. The public is invited to attend to show support for the collegiate anglers.
