The first full weekend in April is a Free Fishing Weekend (no license required) for all of Florida Freshwater. Our state park (I am the manager) and the Venice Kiwanis, partner with Paul Thomas a regional fisheries Biologist with the Florida Wildlife Conservation Commission's "Urban Fisheries Program" to give kids a day to fish and picnic for free.
