In October 2016, Take Me Fishing™ hosted six bloggers and their families on a magical fishing and boating experience at
Walt Disney World® Resort. The families, who came from different cities across the U.S., participated in hands-on fishing and boating activities, and learned more about the ‘how-to’ and ‘where-to’ information available on
TakeMeFishing.org and
VamosAPescar.org.

Magical Fireworks Cruise
On our first night we enjoyed the Magic Kingdom fireworks from our private boat in front of Disney’s Contemporary Resort. It was an awesome time! The families boarded a pontoon boat and enjoyed the view of the beautiful fireworks while enjoying some snacks. It was really a magical moment.
The next day after breakfast each of the families had the opportunity to take a picture with Mickey Mouse. Kids and their families had a blast!
Getting ready for our Guided Bass Fishing Excursion
We all were excited to go to on a Guided Bass Fishing Excursion. Did you know you can
go fishing at Walt Disney World® Resort? There are fishing excursions and boat rentals at nine convenient marinas across the Resort which provides access to catch-and-release fishing on the private
Walt Disney World® Resort lakes, all well-stocked with largemouth bass. You can also enjoy the experience of driving a Sea Raycer rental around the lake, water skiing, larger boat rentals and many more options to enjoy a view of the parks from the water.
It was a beautiful and sunny day in Lake Buena Vista, Fla. Each of the families boarded a pontoon boat with an experienced guide. The boat was incredibly comfortable. Our fishing guide provided us with some snacks, fishing gear and safety equipment for our fishing adventure.
Our boat caught 15 largemouth bass! Here is Amanda’s first catch. She got so excited that she caught four more during our fishing excursion. We all had a great time that day, we learned some fishing techniques, practiced catch and release, and enjoyed mother nature and the beautiful Central Florida weather.
Next time you go to
Walt Disney World® Resort, take some time to enjoy the fishing and boating experiences the Resort has to offer. We guarantee this will be a magical and fun experience for you and your family.
