Snake River Water Trail Excursion 2020

Several members of the Snake River Water Trail will float the entire 205 miles of the water trail. There will be events held at the beginning, end and many communities in between. Each town or community will be responsible for their event. Each event will have many volunteers teaching boating and water safety. The public will be allowed to join the float on their own on reaches compatible with their experience level. In addition to boating safety we are hoping to increase the awareness of this opportunity so close to a major population and with the increase in boating activities of novices we especially are going to highlight boating, water safety and ethics. We are currently investigating possible video coverage of the trip and developing a river trail phone app loaded with information on all the various cultural and historical sites and the communities they will be visiting.
