Urban Trout Stocking and Family Fishing Event - Indianola

Watch the fish being stocked and try to catch your first trout. The urban lakes trout program offers a “close to home” option for anglers across the state to experience trout fishing. These cool weather stockings provide easy-access trout fishing opportunities in areas that cannot support trout during the summer months. They are a great place to take kids to catch their first fish. Anglers need a valid fishing license (age 16 and older) and pay the trout fee to fish for or possess trout. For more information, call the Warren County Izaak Walton League at 515-229-7418. Find more information about trout fishing in urban lakes on the DNR trout fishing webpage.
